Doug, we were so sorry to hear of the sudden passing of June. Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Bob and I remember going to your wedding and what a fun time we had. Anne remembers June being her Brown Owl back in the mid 60s. Last time we saw her, was last January at Harry’s 90th birthday and we told that she never changes, and always has a smile on her face. She was a lovely person and will be sorely missed by all.
Love, Margaret, Bob and Anne xxx

We love you Aunt June. xo
Thank you for all the sleep overs, suppers, visits at Nanny and Papa's and your support of my interests. And thank you for not yelling at me too much for putting a hole in the basement bathroom door. Sandra pushed me.
We love you Uncle Doug, Sandra, Steven, Christina and the kids. xo
Love Robbie, Stacy, Sophie and Nicholas

I worked with June in the early 80’s at Royal Trust at Upper Gage and Fennell.
I was 19yrs old, had just emigrated with my parents from NI and this was my first job in Canada.
June took me under her wing and I have fond memories of working with her.
Sandra and Steven were just little back then and they went to little people’s daycare, it was evident then that her husband Doug and her children always came first in her life.
Funny how you remember certain things - like her little grey chevette 🙂.
My condolences to all the family.

I have many memories of June.....mostly I remember her laugh. She had a great laugh. I was thinking about different times from the past.. Specifically one Saturday many years ago. June was sitting on her parents couch and Steven was cuddling with her (Sandra was cuddling with Nanny I believe) and I told her that I loved how affectionate Steven was with her. He was probably eight or nine at the time. I told her I hoped my son would do that with me when he was that age. She said he would and she was right.
Another time during the summer we were all out at John and Debbie's . I think it might have been someone's birthday. Anyway Sandra was away at a camp and June and Doug got at call (I'm guessing at home since cell phones didn't exist at that time). They rushed to the camp to get her. She was covered in mosquito bites and she was allergic to them (I think that's what June said). I could see how relieved she was to have Sandra back with her.
I thought June always persevered through everything and I admired her for that. I am going to miss her. Love, always Terri

I think one of my favourite memories with my nanny was when she went to the Caledonia fair and she went on the egg scrambler. My nanny absolutely screamed her head off. Or anytime our family would plan the board game clue my nanny would always be lost and never understood the game after practically years of playing with us. My nanny was the best nanny anyone could ever ask for. I can not remember a single time she was not there for me when i needed. Like when my mom said no to me going to the mall and my nanny came and picked me up to take me even after my mom said not to take me even if i asked her. It’s unfortunate that she was robbed from us so soon but she’ll always be with me at heart.
