In her 99th year, on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital with family by her side. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ken and her loving son Ron and ten brothers and sisters. Katherine was born in Wakaw, Saskatchewan and came to Hamilton as a young woman where she worked as a dressmaker and seamstress. She met her husband Ken and they started their lives and family together in Hamilton. They were actively involved in Cubs and Scouts for many years. Katherine is survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.
A Celebration of her life will be held at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Online condolences may be made at www.markeydermody.com.
