Charlie was born in 1923 in Lithuania and emigrated to Canada following WWII. He worked in the bush as a lumberjack until he joined Stelco where he worked for 38 years. Charlie was passionate about hunting and was a member of the Gedraitis Hunting Club, and his greatest hobby was restoring VW’s which he loving gave to each grandchild as they turned 16. With his booming voice he belonged to the Lithuanian Church Choir as well as Aras Male Choir in Toronto which toured internationally. He always enjoyed travelling with his wife, but his greatest love was always his family. For the past 2 years his residence was at Regina Gardens, the Mount Hope Wing where he was well looked after by all staff, particularly Omar and Jessie, for which the family is forever grateful.
