Laurette Huot

Sadly, we announce the passing of our mother Laurette at age of 96. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 50+ years, Leo Huot (1993) and infant grandson Justin Matthew Bowman (1974). Loving mom of Roger (Gloria) and Anita (Ross Bowman). Memere to Mark (Christine), Jamie (Anie), Denyse (Farsheed Karanjia), Ross II (Kelly), Amber (Jay Connely) and great-grandmother to Alexie, Caleb, Katelyn, Maiya, Curtis, Ross III, Nicolette and Noelle.

Mom enjoyed family life, playing cards, dancing, and having a good laugh. Her home-made mustard pickles were superb! She was always pleasant and a super, one-of-a-kind angel.

May she Rest In Peace amongst the angels. Special thanks for: the nursing care received at St. Joseph Villa (Cedar Grove) for the past 3 years; the volunteers who took her to daily Mass; Sister Diane for her weekly spiritual visits; Family Council for their voice and commitment to the residents well-being; and the palliative care personnel during Mom’s final hours. Visitation is at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King St. East, Hamilton on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Holy Family Church, corner of Kenilworth and Cannon Streets. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
