He was loving, kind and a most caring person. He taught us to make each day count, brought people together in laughter and song while he played the piano. He was 97 and had more spunk and humour than most people half his age.
He took care of his mom and sister, while he had to choose a career between his love as an Opera Singer or a Lawyer. He chose the later. He travelled the world and enjoyed Operas in Hamilton and all over the world. His favourite vacation was in Acapulco.
He was predeceased by his sister Phyllis, who passed away during COVID-19. He will forever be in our hearts. He was "One of A Kind".
Resting at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton with visitation on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 10-12 p.m. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 12 p.m. Funeral luncheon to follow, then Leonard will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington.
