Peacefully at Juravinski Hospital after an 8 year battle with multiple myeloma, our big, strong, loving daddy was taken from us. Loving husband of 44 years to Joan (nee Hannah). Loving father of Elizabeth and Laura and Kevoie Cover. He will be dearly missed by his best buddy and four legged companion Darren. Son-in-law to Wilda Hannah (Ellis). Special thank you to Dr. R. Foley and nurse Karen for all their years of caring and support, as well as the staff on C4 of Juravinski Hospital. Friends and family are invited to a graveside service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens (700 Chapel Hill Rd., Stoney Creek) on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 12 p.m. We think of you often and always will with love. We think about how hard you worked and how much you did for our family. We see how your wisdom and caring has helped to shape our lives. We'll never know everything you've been through or all the feelings you carried quietly in your heart… We just know that somehow all your rich experience had made you the wise man that you were - Someone who's taught us that life is precious and laughter is sweet. Today we honour you, our hero, both as a husband and as a dad. Les was involved in the taxi business for over 30 years, both as a driver and owner. He loved working at Federal Marine Terminals (formally Seaway) as a Teamster for almost 30 years. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or SPCA. Irish Blessing May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and the rains fall soft upon your fields. Until we meet again . You were our hero. Love you always.
