

Surrounded by her family, Lila passed away at St. Joseph’s Villa on Tuesday, September 29, 2015. She had recently celebrated her 93rd birthday. She was born in Hamilton on September 14, 1922 to the late Herbert S. and Eliza (Lila) Hannant. Predeceased by her loving husband, Grant C. Vickers on September 2, 1996. She will be greatly missed and was the dearly loved mother of David, Sylvia Perrone, Michael and Marlene (Wayne) Dawdy. Proud and loved grandmother of four granddaughters, Sandra Xasterooles (Peter), Angela Perrone, Laurie Adams (Kevin) and Jennifer Constable (Joe Nemeth). Great-grandmother of Ethan and Emma Adams and Leland Nemeth. Predeceased by her brothers, Herbert G. and Ron Hannant. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was a retired, long-time employee of St. Joseph’s Hospital (SPD Unit). Visitation will be held at TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1309 King Street East (at the Delta, opposite Gage Park) on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff and caregivers at St. Joseph’s Villa (Primose Lane) for the love and care they provided to her for the last five years.
