After years of valiant fight with Cancer, the family of Miss Loida Asuncion sadly announces her passing. She has gone to be with her Savior peacefully at Emmanuel House Hospice with family by her side, on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
She was born in Sudipen, La Union, Philippines. While working as a nanny, she lived in Dubai for one year and then in Singapore for five years before immigrating to Canada in 1991. She then worked another five years as a nanny before working at Tender Choice Foods Inc., then at Cadbury/Allan Candy for seven years. She also worked at Valentino’s Restaurant in Westdale for many years on a part-time basis. After leaving the factory, she took PSW courses and worked at Bayshore Home Health until she retired.
Even though she enjoyed her various careers, her family was very important to her. They were the recipients of her countless support since she worked abroad- - they are forever grateful for her life.
