Lois was able to fulfill her wish to be living at home with her husband until her recent hospitalization, although she had not been out and about recently due to Covid-19 restrictions and mobility problems. Lois missed going to her trailer home in Florida (Ja-Mar) for the last couple of years of her life due to these problems. She had many fond memories of the times and the people there in Florida as well as of Harmony Baptist Church and the family cottage located in Tiny.
Lois Anne Smith (née Goodwin) is survived by her husband David Franklin Smith. She is predeceased by her sister Margaret Emeline Zweep and her parents Clifford Milford Goodwin and Emeline (Lina) Goodwin (née Dryesdale). She is also survived by her daughter Catherine Anne Savard (née Smith) (Michel Pierre Savard) and her son Mark Edward Smith (Barbara Schejbal). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandson Daniel Jonathan Savard and granddaughter Rachelle Anne-Marie Émilie Savard.
A reception for family and friends will follow a 3 p.m. memorial service at Harmony Baptist Church on June 28th. Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to Harmony Baptist Church for the ongoing work of the church which was a lifelong interest.
