Lolita Palmares Willaschek

Beloved wife of Egon Willaschek for 50 years, Lolita was a loving mother to Inocencia Willaschek (Philip Lam) and a proud and devoted Oma to Victoria Lam and Tristan Lam. She will be dearly missed by her brother, Inocentes Palmares Jr. (Marilou Palmares), and her sister, Selfa Bedia (Sixto Bedia), as well as by her extended family and many friends in Canada and the Philippines.

Lolita began her career as a midwife in the Philippines. After moving to Canada, she continued her lifelong commitment to caring for others as a Registered Nurse, working at Riverdale Hospital and Women’s College Hospital in Toronto, and later at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton. A devoted Catholic, Lolita was a member of the Catholic Women’s League of Canada and an active parishioner at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Hamilton. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith, as well as for the love she shared with those around her.

Visitation will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton, Ontario, on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Church, 50 Brucedale Avenue, Hamilton, on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow.
