Loreigh Mitges

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly loved father Loreigh Jerome Mitges on July 7, 2011. Born May 27, 1926 to Steve Mitges and Lucy May Johnston. Beloved husband of the late Helen (Alane) Speropoulos (1986). Dear father of Maria (Bob Parnaby), Loreigh, Glenn (Renee), Tricia (Stewart McNeil) and Nicole. Cherished papa of Jen (Matt Coyle), Rachel (Carlos Bustamante), Jordan, Justin, Scott, Carli, Luke, Essah, Alane, Iman, Hassen, Hussein, Alainee, Ali, Sarah and Miriam. Loving great papa to Alexandra Coyle and Elijah Bustamante. Survived by siblings Albert (Lydia), Beverly (Rhoda),

Jeanne, Goldwyn and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by brother in law Nick Speropoulos (Harriet). Our dad exemplified integrity and loyalty. With mom he taught us by example the meaning of unconditional love. We would like to

extend our sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of Ward C-3 at the Juravinski Hospital for their support and kindness to our father. Family will receive friends at the CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME (322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton) on Monday, July 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 12th at 10 a.m. Interment in Mount Hamilton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the ALS Society of Canada would be appreciated.
