With much sadness, we announce the passing of our mother Loretta, on October 24, 2021 at 98 years of age. Predeceased by her husband and our father Duncan, so long ago in 1980. Survived by her family Richard (Linda) and Ron. Her granddaughters Heather (Dwayne) and Hannah (Mark). We are all so happy that she lived long enough to see both of her first great grandchildren be born, Domenic and Lennon, and had a chance to hold them both. She was the last RN nurse still alive from the Graduating Class of 1945 at Toronto Western Hospital, School for Nurses. Our mother spent most of her nursing career as an Industrial Nurse at the Procter & Gamble plant in Hamilton. She was so very proud of her profession. We will miss her dearly. Family will receive friends at Melrose United Church, 86 Homewood Ave., Hamilton on Friday, October 29th from 12pm until time of service at 1pm (covid restrictions, vaccinated and masks are in effect). A private burial will follow the service. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in her name, can do so to Melrose United Church, or the charity of your choice.
