Peacefully passed away at the Juravinski Hospital on November 25, 2012. Beloved wife of Graham, they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in October. Loving mother of Bill and Brenda and Glenn and Donna. Proud grandmother of Sommer (Andrew), Shaila (Joel), Parker, Gregory, Kevin, Danica, Acadia and great-grandchild Lucas. A lifetime member of St. Andrew’s/St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Lyla was a long time Sunday School teacher, choir member, pianist and organist. She was also a Canadian Girls in Training leader and involved in the Women’s Mission Services. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm where the Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 10am, with a reception to follow at the Funeral Home.
