With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Marguerite Eden” Granny” (Warner) on Friday, February 16, 2024 at age 86. Beloved wife of the late William Henry Eden. She will live forever in the hearts of her children, Henry,Wayne, Richard (Cheryl-ann) Gord and Sharon; surviving sisters Vanzetta and Daphne as well as her 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren ,and many nieces and nephews.
Marguerite was known by many in the community as “Granny” and “Ma” as she cared and gave so much to those around her like they were her own. She was a selfless woman that made sure everyone in the family was taken care of until the very end. Marguerite loved making her big family dinners, sitting outside on her porch to feed the birds and watch over the neighborhood, taking care of her garden (which she guarded with her whole life) and playing her Monday bingo. Anyone who was to know Marguerite had definitely shared many laughs. May we never forget her as the funny, feisty and strong woman that never dared holding back her opinion or telling it like it is.
As per Marguerites expressed wishes cremation has taken place, and those who have been touched by Marguerite are invited to join family for a celebration of life held March 30th 2024 at the Royal Canadian Legion : 1180 Barton St E, Hamilton, ON L8H 2V7 from 6pm-10pm.
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
