With heavy hearts in her 82nd year, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, August 4, 2018, surrounded by her family. Her courage, strength and determination willed her to stay with us far longer than anyone anticipated. She did it her way. Loving mother to Giuseppe, Pasquale, Angela, Carmela, Florindo and Fernando. She will be fondly remembered for her selfless giving nature and kind heart and her famous words “did you eat ?“. She joins her husband Domenico and her parents and siblings in Heaven. THANK YOU to the Palliative Care team, Bayshore nurses, St. Elizabeth’s PSW's for their exceptional care and compassion for our mother. Visitation at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 165 Prospect Street North, Hamilton on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery.
