Zia Malvina - A beautiful name for a beautiful lady. It was truly a pleasure to have known her. Every time I saw her she always had a smile on her face and kind words to speak. I remember being at Zia Malvina's house one day with my mother in-law Claudia and they were both watching an Italian soap-opera and trying to translate it into English for me. It was so funny. I will remember that day and many others forever. You will be truly missed.

Today, with saddened hearts, we laid to rest our beloved aunt.For our family, she was the last of a generation who,with nothing but courage and hope, left their homeland to embark on a journey that would provide their young families with an opportunity for a better life.She personified all those qualities that they lived by. Trust in God,importance of family,honesty, integrity, forgiveness,hard work,love and appreciation for this country,laughter and good food were their credo.Now, "the torch has been passed on." May we make you all proud.

Zia Malvina was such a warm and compassionate woman who made everyone feel loved and at ease. My memories of her involve being adorned with affection and kindness, and the value of family.  She will be greatly missed within a family who share her virtues ...

I was sadden to hear the news about Zia Malvina's departure to heaven and although her death leaves a heartache that no one can heal, her love leaves a memory that no one can steal. She was such a kind, beautiful soul and will be greatly missed by the entire Di Marino family.

I have just come home in paying my respects to Maria or Mama as I lovingly called her.  My mother (in her 91st year)  and I are next door neighbours and have known the Campomizzi family since 1967.  How peaceful and beautiful she looked and I will always remember her beauty both inside and out.  
Even though she was in pain she kept asking how I was because I am having knee replacement.  Always concerned, respectful, caring, kind and had a wonderful sense of humour.  She was a really classy lady and I hope that we have all learned from her example in how she led her life.  I always told her she was a beautiful old woman and she always argued ... no you are the beautiful one ... and then I would say nope you have had much more time to be beautiful.  She seemed to get more lovely with age.  I will miss her so much.  I have been back with my mother for 17 years and have always enjoyed seeing her beautiful smile.  Always positive and so happy to be in her home.  A hard worker for sure.  Maria you are now back together with Joe.  I know that you missed him so much.  Rest in peace.  I will always remember you. We hold such fond memories of Zia Malvina.  She was such a beautiful woman who carried herself with so much class.  She was always so gracious and now I am sure she is having her café with Zia Maria and Nonna Dina.  The three lovely ladies together again. xo

Mrs. Campomizzi was the rarest of ladies - a true inner strength of character wrapped in a gentle and sweet demeanour that was topped with the warmest of smiles.  No illness could ever rob her of that lovely & generous spirit that she so freely shared with anyone she met and we will truly miss her.  "Heaven just welcomed one of the most special angels".
