Peacefully on October 5, 2019 at St. Joseph's Hospital in her 97th year. Predeceased by her husband Paul and her children Joseph and Muriel. Loving mother of Estelle (Franco) Floreani, Wilfred (Anita), Linda (Mark) Gallant, Philippe (Cindy), Allan, John, Denise (Paul) McDonald and Sherry. Beloved grandmother of 32 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Will be missed by son-in-law Ron Nowatchik. Marie was a member of the CWL for over 32 years. Special thank you to Doctors and Nurses on Ward 7 at St. Joseph's, emergency room staff, paramedics and Dr. Ohson for all of their excellent care. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Monday, October 7th and Tuesday, October 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with vigil prayers Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at Regina Mundi Parish, 631 Mohawk Rd. W., on Wednesday, October 9th at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Cancer Assistance Program or the Good Shepherd Centre would be greatly appreciated. I was saddened to hear of my aunt’s passing. She was a very special lady and so kind. When I was a kid she always made an effort to talk to me like I was an adult. Her chicken noodle soup was the best! My deepest sympathies to the family. Repose en paix ma tante Claire!
