It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marinko at St. Joseph's Hospital on October 3, 2018 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Anica for 60 years. Loving father of Luka (Kim), Mario (the late Dianne) and Bob (Cindy). Cherished Dida of Rob (Jess), Anthony (Dana), Lyndsi, Daniel and Pra-Dida of Luke, Robbie, Arielle and Caden. Dear brother of Luka. Marinko will be sadly missed by relatives and friends in Canada and Croatia. Retired employee of Stanley Steel after 30 years of service. Special thanks to the staff of St. Joseph's Hospital for their compassionate care. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday from 5-9 pm with Rosary at 7:15 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 9:30 am. Interment Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. Donations in Marinko's memory may be made to Holy Cross Church.
