I would like Martin's family to know that I think of Martin often.  He is not a person that can be forgotten. His happy persona, sense of humour and kind personality always come to mind.

My heart goes out to you, Greg and Caroline in your time of morning a good man. My last memory of Uncle Martin was when we were at Uncle Winston's house in the summer and he asked me to sing "Cockles and Muscles" He always had a smile on his face every time I saw him.

I had the pleasure of working with Martin for many years at Altruck and fondly remember the many times he would sing to me or offer one of his many jokes. There is not a thought of Martin that doesn't bring a smile.  He will be deeply missed.  My condolences to his family.

Our family would like to give Margaret and family our deepest sincere condolences. Martin was a long time friend and mentor for over 35 years. He will always be remembered for his kindness and especially for his wonderful humor. One of his favorite sayings to me was " theirs my Dukey, can he ever drink and fight " that will always be remembered in my heart among many more of his humours sayings he had for me. As a mentor I will always appreciate the guidance he had given me. We had a good many years of friendship that will never be lost, sadly missed but never forgotten. You behave up there my friend but continue your humor as it gives everyone happiness. May you rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to Martin's family. I worked with Martin at Altruck for 11 years...Martin always had to walk through the shop on his way in to work and crack "one liners" for instance he'd say "hey suitcase did ya get any honey for your stinger last night"! He called me suitcase Simpson cause my gf at the time once dropped off my bags in the prkg lot at work lol!!  Or if I was talking to someone he'd say "there's a fine pair the monkey said to his nuts"!! Always a smile on his face...I left Altruck shortly after he did,but had the pleasure of going out to Milton a cpl times to get trucks started that a cpl mechanics couldn't get going. Marty said I'll call Slappy!another nick name I received..long story,but when he called I wouldn't hesitate to be there for him,I wish I could've said goodbye...he will be sadly missed but NEVER forgotten! RIP my friend.

I am so sorry to hear of Martin's passing. He was a pleasure to work with. He was always happy, so energetic and very kind. He made people feel special and actually he was the special one. I will always feel indebted to Martin for the help, advice and support I got from him, especially in the first few years after buying my business in 1969.  But that was the way he was, always helping people with a fun story and a great big smile.
