She has gone to be reunited with her beloved Jimmy, husband for over 75 years. Jean leaves behind countless cherished memories with all those who knew her. Dearly loved and missed by her daughter Joanne (Paul). Proud grandma treasured by Heather and Mark. She will be missed by sisters-in-law Audrey and Dorothy, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother Mary (nee Prince), father William, sister Ruby, brothers Ken and Bob.
What Jean enjoyed most was spending time with her family and friends. Jean and Jim always led a busy social life, often with lifelong friends (The Gang) from the Whizbang Bowling League. She loved to cheer on the Tiger Cats, had a passion for the City of Hamilton, was an avid reader and sewer, and enjoyed gardening, baking her famous brownies, and “puttering” around the house. Jean will be remembered for her giving nature, caring spirit, deep love and dedication to her family, friends, pets, and all animals. We would like to give our sincere thanks to the team of caregivers at the Village of Wentworth Heights. Your care and compassion will never be forgotten (Michaela & Nellie).
Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at Woodland Cemetery. In respect of Jean’s love of animals, donations to the SPCA would be appreciated.
