

On the 17th of December 2014, Mary Boreyko passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital in Hamilton. She was an amazing 100 years old. Beloved wife of her late husband Nicholas Boreyko. Born and schooled in Fishing River, Manitoba. Married and made her home in Hamilton. Predeceased by their loving daughter Phyllis. Also by parents Mary and Michael Yarema. Survived by son-in-law Peter Britton. Grandmother of Darren Britton and wife Heidi, Troy Britton and wife Lonnie, Camille Britton, great-granddaughter Rachel Smith and husband Chad, and Nicole Britton, and great-great-granddaughter of Serenity Smith. Sadly missed by five sisters and three brothers. Predeceased by sisters Kay Baseraba, Zenna Howika, Anne Magoski, and Anita Nicholson and brothers Ned and John Yarema. Survived by sister Chris Hashimoto and brother Orest Yarema. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was a faithful member of Holy Family Church from 1950 and St. Margaret Mary Church since 1966 and also a member of the C.W.L. and the Legion of Mary. Friends and relatives will be received at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E., Hamilton on Sunday, December 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with vigil prayers at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 20 Idlewood Ave. on Monday, December 22nd at 10:30 a.m. with interment following immediately in St. Augustine's Cemetery in Dundas.
