It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary at the Village of Wentworth Heights on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Joseph for 55 years. Loving mother of Anne and Renata (Cameron). Cherished grandmother of Carolyn and Katherine. Dear sister of Jura “George” (Ljubica), Anna Sladic, Marko (Ruth), Ljubica Jurakovic (Josip) and sister-in-law of John (Zora), Nevenka and the late Stjepan. Mary will be sadly missed by many family and friends in Canada and Croatia. Family will receive friends at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday from 4-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. Entombment at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery to follow. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
