Mary Knox

Peacefully at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice on October, 21, 2011 with her family by her side, our mother entered into rest to be with Dad, Grandma Saynook and Aunt Sophie. Mom leaves behind a very loving and devoted sister, Stella Yonev. She was Mom’s confidant and best friend. She will be sadly missed by her brothers Nick Saynook and Jack and Marg Saynook. She will be especially missed by her two sons Gary and Brian and their wives Nancy and Brenda who never left her side during her cancer journey. Mom was always proud of her five grandchildren, Jennifer and Brian Prevost, Jason and Andrea Knox and Christina Spasaro. Her three great grandchildren, Maddison, Lucas and Jayden could always bring a smile to Mom’s face even when we thought she was sleeping. Mom leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Mom was a volunteer at Grace Villa for 20 years. Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Sister – we’ll all miss you. The Knox family would like to thank all the staff of Ward 2 at Juravinski Hospital and Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. Thank you to Dr. Ed Mantle for all your support. Family will receive friends at the CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME (322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton) on Monday, October 24th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 25th at 11 a.m in the chapel. Interment to follow in Mt. Hamilton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice so they can continue their good work.
