Mary Zvonar

Maca has reunited with her beloved husband Ludvig Zvonar. Most loving mother of her children and their spouses; Jimmy and Jean Zvonar, Steven and Mary Zvonar and Julie and Everett Correa. Cherished Baki of Alex, Erik, Gabriella, Zoe, Eve, Katie and Louie.

Maca came from a very large family, and was born in Karlovac, Croatia October 4, 1942. Maca was the much-loved sister of Nevenka (Mirko) Protulipac, Slavo (Ljubica) Jagusic, Danica (Ivan) Cvitak, Ljubica (John) Zefkic and sister-in-law of Ana Jagusic, Barbara Jagusic, Vince (Mary) Zvonar, Dragica Zvonar (late Mike Zvonar) and Stjepan (Slavica) Zvonar. Maca was predeceased by her parents Janko and Marica, siblings Drago Jagusic, Kata (Toma) Bersinic, Josip Jagusic, Barka (Ivan) Baric, Andelka (Ivan) Jefak, Mike Jagusic and Dora (Duro) Luksa. Maca also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada and Croatia.

Despite the challenges of her illness, Maca faced each day with remarkable courage and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of love, compassion, and dedication will continue to inspire and guide us. Special thanks to the dedicated Arbor Creek staff and to Father Marko from Holy Cross Church.

Visitation will be held at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth), on Wednesday. August 7 from 5-8 p.m. with prayers/rosary at 7:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King St. East on Thursday, August 8 at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Maca can be made to Holy Cross Church or the Croatian National Home Building Fund.
