Passed away peacefully on December 16, 2011 in her 101st year, at St. Joseph’s Manor in Elliot Lake, ON. Maud was predeceased by her husband Alfred (1911-1962), her beloved sister Flo Woolley, and her brothers David and Russell Brown. She was a loving mother to two daughters: Bev Slizys (VIC) and Pat Moulson (Bill). She will be remembered fondly by 5 grandchildren: Carolyn Slizys, Julia O’Hallarn, Brendan O’Hallarn, Meg Brar, and Bob Moulson. Maud also leaves behind 8 great-grandchildren. Maud was born and raised in Hamilton, and lived for 65 years in her home on Houghton Avenue. She was a long-term member of Pioneer Memorial United Church.Maud is resting at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East., Hamilton. Visitation will be on Monday January 2, 2012 from 7 – 9 pm. A memorial service and reception will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday January 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment at White Chapel Memorial Gardens will follow.
