Maureen Lane

Predeceased by her husband Colin (2016) of 64 years and much loved mother of Gillian (Bob) Hendry, Christopher (Judy) Lane, Melinda (Pat Martin) Lane, and Barbara Lane. Proud grandmother of Ethan, Jared, Rachael, Cassandra, Crystal, Geoffrey, Grant, Elizabeth, Michael, Ryan and great-grandmother to Theo, Jasper, Ellington, Cassian, Owen, Mason, Kylea, Sydney and Logan.

Born in Yorkshire, England Maureen first arrived in Canada in 1939 as a child evacuee during World War 2 with her sister Joan. She lived in Nova Scotia for 5 years before returning to England where she met her husband Colin and immigrated back to Canada in 1955. Maureen retired from a successful Real Estate career with Ken Gies Realty at the age of 70. She also enjoyed retail sales positions over the years including selling plants and hats at Eatons Dept. Store.

Maureen was a talented seamstress, folk artist, interior decorator and gardener. She enjoyed entertaining her family and friends and never missed an opportunity to celebrate life.

Donations in Maureen's memory can be made to the Good Shepherd Centres. Cremation has taken place.
