Michael Brokloff

Brokloff, Michael, Peacefully, on his own terms, on Monday, May 27th, 2019, in his 89th year. Mike is survived by his cherished wife of 67 years, Irene Brokloff. Loving father of Michael (junior) and his wife Dr Candyce Ackland, of Davenport, Iowa, Randy and his wife Barb Brokloff, of Hamilton. Treasured Opa to granddaughters Dr. Nicole Brokloff (Collin) and Courtney Brokloff, J.D (Gary), and grandson Alexander Brokloff. Mike and Irene resided in Aberfoyle, Ontario from 1973-2018. Mike was an employee of Imperial Tobacco, retiring in 1991, thus enjoying 28 years of retirement. Due to health concerns Mike and Irene moved to Queens Garden Long Term Facility in Hamilton in April 2018. At this time the family would like to thank all of the staff at Queens Garden for their love and care of both Mike and Irene this past year. On Sunday, June 9th 2019 at Queens Garden, (80 Queen Street North Hamilton), there will be visitation from 2-3:30 and funeral will follow immediately afterwards. A private burial will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, we ask for a donation of “Michaels Gift Cards” or monetary gift so that the family can purchase craft projects/supplies for the 3rd floor residents of Queens Garden. This is a program that our dad benefitted from during his stay.
