I am  sorry to hear of Mike's passing, he was someone I greatly respected and trusted to give straight forward advice when I asked. He will be missed.

To my loved one, dearest best friend, confidant and coworker you will be sadly missed at work and in my heart always. I know everyone who met Mike will celebrate the same strength of character that immediately jumped out when I first met Mike. His enthusiasm for the metals business, firm but fair leadership abilities, constant smile and positive can do personality will be sorely missed and is irreplaceable.

To hear of Mike's passing was hard for me to grasp.  I worked with Mike both at Russel's Burlington location and for a brief time in Aberfoyle.  Even though I am not part of the Russel community anymore, I always considered Mike a friend.  I'll miss him.

I am shocked and saddened at the sudden passing of Mike. I had the honour of working with Mike and his father Ken, over the past 20 years. The Gagnons are good hard working people, and I will miss Mike, but remember him  as a  dedicated person , who cared about his fellow employees, and tried to assist them, whenever he could. I hadn't seen Mike for over two yrs now, as I retired from Russel in 2009 but Mike was a gentle giant to me,one whom I respected as a co-worker!Mike was a good,kind individual with a loving heart but with a shyness towards himself.One of his greatest prides was his knowledge and dedication towards the steel business at Russel Metals;however,his family ranked as being the "most" important overall..he would often mention his neice,with a smile on his face...His twinkling eyes, wonderful grin, generous heart,while he loved to tease and have fun in conversation.May these everlasting virtues remain in your memories as they do mine to treasure the good times we were so fortunate to have shared with Mike!
