OBITUARY
Michael Kulczycky
October 26, 1921 – February 12, 2021
Passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital at the age of 99. Pre-deceased by his loving wife Olga (2002). Loving father to Volodymyr, Mykola and Natalie. Cherished grandfather of Eugenia, Lidia, Tania and Yarema and great-grandfather of Colin, Julien, Leo, Sonia and Sofia. Michael was born in Koniushky, Ukraine and lived through the difficult and challenging times of World War II, meeting his wife in a displaced person’s camp in Austria. Michael often reminisced and was awed by the various experiences and hardships he lived through his life and the things he had seen during the war in Ukraine. After his marriage and the birth of his first son, the young family moved to Venezuela where they lived for almost four years and welcomed their second son. They were able to move to Canada and welcomed their last child. Michael was a carpenter by trade. The family purchased a farm where Michael built their home. Through his trade and farming the land where they lived, he worked these two jobs to provide for his family and became deeply involved in the Ukrainian community in Hamilton. Private family service to take place on Wednesday with burial to follow at Woodland.

Dear Volodymyr, Mykola , Natalie & Families:
So very sorry to hear about the repose of your dear father, Michael. I have many fond memories of him at St. Vladimir's Cathedral over the years. I'll never forget the wonderful times we had when picking delicious strawberries on his farm during the summer break from high school. When you think about it, doesn't seem like it was all that long ago.
May the Lord provide solace, strength & support to his loved ones during this difficult period. May His memory be eternal! Вічна Йому Пам'ять!
