Passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Carolyn Irene MacKinnon for almost 55 years. Cherished and loving father of Scott (Marian) and Kimberly (David). He will be missed by his wonderful grandchildren Milena, Graydon and Sydney. Michael is survived by his siblings Linda, Patricia, Maureen, Sandra, Jake. He is pre-deceased by Hector (Jr.), Wayne, Kenny and Terry.
Due to Covid-19, all visitations and funerals are restricted to a specified number of attendees. All visitors will be required to wear a face covering, as well as provide name and telephone number to funeral home staff. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday July 7, 2021 from 10am until the time of a private family funeral service at 12 noon. Service will be conducted by the Rev. Dwayne Ratzlaff. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 600 Spring Garden Road, Burlington.
