Michelle and I worked together in 2012-2014 at ROCK, and specifically with community partners and physicians and families to start up the Caroline Families First program.  

Michelle was a bright light and a force - someone who brought huge energy and passion to work every day. She lived her values and was an incredible advocate and champion for children, youth and families. Most importantly, you always knew that Michelle had her priorities straight - that her kids and her husband were the greatest priority and joy of her life. She talked about her family all the time and always made sure that her work life never compromised what she wanted to give to her family.  

Although it has been many years since we worked together on a daily basis , I remember her laugh and her drive to make a difference like it was yesterday. It is rare as we move on from one job to the next, as so often is the case, to have an individual make an impression on us  that can last more than a decade - Michelle stands out in my life as one of those people and leaders. Infectious enthusiasm, dedication to excellence and an amazing advocate.  

When I left ROCK for a new role, Michelle gave me a journal that I wrote in for the next five years until the pages were full. As I wrote,  I would often be remembering Michelle. I still have the journal. Its cover page reads “dream” “create” and “make the world a better place”.  Michelle did all these things and helped so many others do the same. Including me. 

Michelle - thank you for leaving your mark on my life. I hold your memory and your friends and family in my heart. This world is a better place because of you. ❤️🙏🏼❤️

Michelle hired me in 2018 to work for Coordinated Service Planning at ROCK, and later on for Caroline Families First. I liked Michelle from the moment I met her. Her calm approach to leadership was one I will never forget. She was always approachable, warm, and always made me laugh. I had the opportunity to travel with Michelle to Tampa, Florida, for a work training, and she totally ignited my passion for family-centered, wraparound care. I admired her both as a manager and as a person. She was always talking about Kyle, Ava, and Laine, and always had funny stories to share. Even a few years after I left ROCK, she still reached out to offer me care and support. Her text messages always included a friendly winking face or heart, and she always made time to answer, no matter how busy she was. I am grateful to her for hiring me and furthering my career, working for children, youth, and families. She always saw the bigger picture and always planned 10 steps ahead. I will miss Michelle very much, as I know her work family and the families in the community will, too. I know her name will continue on for many years to come as people talk and exchange stories and carry her work forward. I am holding her family and friends close in my thoughts. Michelle’s passing is an unimaginable loss. I am grateful to have had a small amount of time with her, and as people said in the service today, no matter if you knew her for one minute, one day, or many years, she left an impact on you, and she sure did ❤️

I worked with Michelle for many years on Billy Green School council.  She was such a strong , confident woman that wasn't afraid to share ideas that were outside the box to make our school /events better.  She was also such a kind, compassionate person that gave to others in so many ways.  Sending lots of love and prayers to the family.  This loss will be felt deeply by so many people that she touched! I first met Michelle when I was just a little girl and she was engaged to my cousin, Kyle. To me, she was the coolest, most beautiful woman I had ever met. She was so kind and always spoke to me like I was a grown‑up, which I absolutely loved. I was honoured to be the flower girl in their wedding, and I remember how excited I was when Michelle, my Aunt Penny, and I picked out my dress. 

Michelle made me feel so special. She let me spend the day with the bridesmaids, getting our hair and makeup done, and she kept me close by her side the entire time. I adored her and wanted to be just like her.

Though I was very young then and haven’t seen her in several years, my memory of Michelle has never faded. She was a woman of extraordinary kindness and warmth. I know she was an incredible mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend. I will always remember her with deep fondness and love.

Kyle, Ava, and Laine — my heart is with you during this unimaginably painful time. You are in my prayers, and I hope you feel surrounded by love and support.

Michelle's compassion and gentle nature truly radiated warmth. Her strong advocacy and creative approach to supporting families left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. In moments of need, she was your greatest cheerleader, always ready to offer a comforting hug. 
Her family was her shining light, and she will forever hold a special place in your hearts, serving as a guiding light in your lives.

I came to know Michelle as a kind and supportive presence through her work with Our Kids Network. Her dedication to children and youth in our community was evident in all our work together. Michelle gave her time and care to others - a true reflection of her strength and compassion.

We are all given the gift of time. How we use this defines us and subsequently our legacy. Michelle's deicaication to child and family mental health was second to none. Her creativety and innovation impacted the lives of many. and that will play out  in both the here and now  as well as generations to come.

I was lucky to work with her, and always felt her gentle kindness, and her commitment to helping others so their lives could be lighter. I recall seeing the kids on virtual calls. So very sorry to hear of Michelle’s passing. My memories of her are from when she was young. We would see her every Christmas season at the annual open house, all dressed up in her best dress. She was a bright light even back then. May she rest in peace and be united with her beloved grandparents. ❤️

I am so sadden to hear about the passing of Michelle, she was such a vibrant person who made a difference in many families life's. I had the privileged to work with Michelle in the CFF program at ROCK, she was warm, welcoming, so knowledgeable, and had a amazing sense of humor! Michelle was a natural leader with an innate drive to change the world for the better. And she did in so many ways. 

Her quiet tenacity, resilience, and strength impacted so many individuals and families.  I don't think that there is enough that can be said to this point. Michelle saw the opportunity in people  - in the world - and not its limitations.

I'm very saddened to hear about her passing. My deepest condolences to her family  and loved ones. She loved you above all; that love is endless and forever.
