Nelson "Lloyd" Smith

Born September 12, 1924 in Glanford Township, proceeded to his Heavenly Home on February 25, 2018. Lloyd was a man that loved learning and desired to find the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His search for truth led him to raising his family in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He had a love for photography which has blessed both family and acquaintances. He also loved history and captured many of life’s events in writing. His love for learning led him to becoming a school teacher. He loved to talk to everyone. He was always watchful over Leona. He enjoyed his 24 great grandchildren, some of whom, would climb up on his lap and read to him. He leaves behind his wife, Leona Hawkins, his children, June Boucher, Darlene Domonkos, David Smith and Robert Smith, along with 17 grandchildren and predeceased by his grandson Michael.

Friends will be received at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennel Ave. E., on Saturday March 3rd from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Sunday March 4th from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Stone Church and Upper Sherman, Hamilton, Ontario on Monday, March 5th at 11 a.m. with visitation just prior to Service. Interment will follow in Case United Church Cemetery, Glanbrook.
