Supportive, reliable, insightful and, above all else, eager to elevate his family's possibilities.
Neville affectionately known as “Babsie” passed peacefully at home with his loving wife of 60 years Gloria by his side.
Born in St. Thomas, Jamaica, Neville’s influence on those who knew him was profound, fundamental and enormous, not just limited to his family and his wife, who cherished him, but extended to all those he touched with his work, advice and friendship.
Fourth child of Simeon Grant and Bernice Fuller. Siblings Carmeta (Dottie), Dudley, Lloyd, Blandel, Valerie, Alton and surviving siblings Veronica (Blossom), Barbara (Betty), Peaches. He is survived by his beloved wife Gloria, 2 sons Carl and Trevor, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Eda and Rose, Daughter-in-law Sharon, nieces, nephews, cousins & many more family members and friends, all of whom he loved unreservedly. He was loved deeply by all in return.
Neville was diagnosed with Dementia, a little-understood but common degenerative disease, five years ago. He was cared for lovingly at home by Gloria and her sister Rose. Duane, his nephew, and his partner, Kristan, were also particularly helpful to him in his later years, but he was supported happily by his entire family, who will forever miss his kindheartedness, his reliability, and his generous soul.
Many thanks to the Home Care Workers and VON nursing staff for their care, time, and patience.
