Peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at the age of 91. Cherished and beloved husband of Barbara for 70 years. Loving father to Ivan (Anne),Frank (Ane), and grandfather to Angela, Marianne, Diane, Sandy and Nicholas. He is now reunited with his parents, brother and sister of Croatia and eight cousins of Ely Minnesota U.S.A. He will forever live on in the hearts of extended family and friends. A heartfelt and special thanks to the nursing staff and Doctors at the Hamilton General Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion. Visitation will be held at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers on Monday at 7:15pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Tuesday December 29, 2015 at 9:30am. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery to follow. Donations, if desired, to Holy Cross Church would be greatly appreciated.
