On November 22, 2018, in her 103rd year. Born in Tralee, Ireland on December 24, 1915. Chris trained as a nurse in Dublin and practiced in the U.K., Kuwait, and Canada. During her time in Kuwait, Chris’ affinity for horses led to her competition as a racehorse jockey. She eventually immigrated to Hamilton, Ontario in 1956, where her passion for nursing was fulfilled at the Hamilton Psychiatric Hospital for more than twenty years. Predeceased by her loving husband Kenneth (1998). Dear mother of Anne (Ken), Julie, and Guy (Gillian). Loved Nana of Megan (Michael), Grant (Helena), George (Emily), and Harley, and great-grandmother of Annabelle, Nancy, Magne, and Henry. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers at Idlewyld Manor for their care and devotion to Chris over the past fifteen years. Visitation will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East on Sunday, November 25 from 2-3pm and service at 3pm with reception to follow.
