

Norman Earl Price (1925 to 2013) It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Norman Earl Price at his home in Hamilton surrounded by his family on August 16, 2013. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Norman was pre-deceased by parents Herbert and Beatrice Price and his sister Jean Price. He will be greatly missed by Connie his loving wife of 62 years, his sister Stella Wilkinson (Gordon), and children Douglas, Paul (Donna), Scott (Jen), Janis, Rob (Heather), Colin (Carmelle). His grandchildren Meghan (Chris), Jordan, Katelyn, William, Amanda, Sarah and Matthew will miss their Bumpa. He attended Westdale high school and graduated from McMaster University with a BSc in 1946 then obtained a medical degree from Western University in 1950. Norman had a practice in the Medical Arts building for more than 25 years. He was then a physician at TH&B Railway, Hamilton Wentworth Correctional Centre, National Steel Car, Greening Donald and McMaster University. He will always be remembered for his passion for sports, whether on the golf course, in the curling rink or in the stands of his children’s/grandchildren’s events. He was a long time season ticket holder of the Tiger Cats and a member of Hamilton Thistle Curling Club and Dundas Valley Golf Club. Together with his wife Connie he enjoyed live theatre and travelling. When people think of Norman they always remember the jokes he told. Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME 322 Fennell Avenue East on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Olivet United Church (40 Empress Avenue) on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice.
