He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Vera Pinnock (1990), and will be lovingly remembered as a devoted stepfather to Alroy Bellerande and a cherished grandfather to Jefferson (Jackie), Terrence, and Lisa. Orven will be deeply missed by his dear friend of over 40 years, Shirley Sinclair, and his kind neighbour, Mike as well as his family and friends in the UK, USA and sunny Jamaica.
He proudly worked as a welder at Ford Smith Machine for 27 years. In his spare time, Orven found joy in cooking and especially loved barbecuing during the summer months. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Satelite Health Facility, Juravinski Hospital, and Hamilton General Hospital for their compassionate care. Visitation will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 11:00 am . Cremation will follow.
