Pasquale It is with profound sadness that Pasquale’s family announces his passing on April 16, 2010. In his 77th year, born on April 16, 1933 in Ascoli Piceno, Italy, Pasquale is survived by siblings Filomena Spina (Francesco), Amalia Ciannavei, Giovanni (Gina), Elisa Velenosi and Francesco (Gisela). Predeceased by brothers Primo (Vittoria), Giacinto (Ada), Gildo, Emidio, Giuseppe (Maria) and sister Emidia. Pasquale will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Canada, Italy and Australia. A kind and gentle man with a fine sense of humour, “Uncle Pat” loved and was loved by many. As with others of his generation, Pasquale emigrated from Italy to find better opportunities not only for himself but also for those around him. Many have benefited from his support, advice, helping hands and comfort in the knowledge that he was always there when needed. We will miss him dearly but we are all richer for having known him. Visitation at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East on Monday, April 19th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers on Monday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Regina Mundi Church, 631 Mohawk Rd West, Hamilton, on April 20th at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. As per Pasquale’s wishes, donations to the McMaster Children’s Hospital, Pediatric Oncology Department or the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by the family.
