

Born in Hannon, Ontario, December 11, 1913, passed away peacefully the day before her 104th birthday, December 10 at the Carlisle Retirement Residence, Hamilton. Daughter of John Henry Glover and Hattie Evans, of Hannon. Wife of the late Leon Zakrzewski (deceased, 1970). Predeceased by her siblings, Jeanne VanderBurgh (William), Doris, Blair (Mary), Kathleen Behm (Fred), Phyllis Brown (G. Bertram), Jack (Betty), Joyce McEvoy (Ashton), and Rodger. She was the cherished and beloved aunt of countless nieces and nephews, their families and friends. Pat was noted by for her generous and loving spirit, her wisdom, her parties and picnics, and her remarkable family loyalty. Pat returned to Hamilton at the age of 86 from Cliff Trail Farm, Oakville. She was the Vice President of Taymouth Industries, after which, was a successful stock broker working well into her 80s. In 2010, Pat moved to the Carlisle Retirement Residence and was supported by house staff and her own private team of superb caregivers. Funeral arrangements entrusted to TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1309 King Street East at the Delta. Visitation 7 pm – 9 pm, Thursday December 14, and 10 am – noon Friday December 15 with Funeral to follow in the Chapel. Interment at St. George’s Cemetery, Hannon. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Covenant House would be appreciated.
