Born in Keyworth, England, Patsy carried with her a quiet strength and an English sensibility that shaped her entire life - always doing the right thing, always thoughtful, and never one to impose on anyone's good graces. She remained active and fiercely independent right up until the very end.
Patsy was a devoted and loving mother to her daughters, Susan Armstrong and Sally Melnyk, who will forever treasure her sharp wit, her steadiness and most of all, her warmth and unconditional love. She will also be sadly missed by her grandsons Stephen and David Melnyk, her son-in-law Brian Gwilliam and family; the Stacey family; Sally's partner Angelo Papa; and her many close friends and neighbours.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, located at 1774 King Street East, Hamilton, on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 1-3 p.m.
