Miss you my good buddy!!  Think of you often.  Life is short and those of us who have made real and lasting friendships  (as we had) are truly among the blessed.  Will pray that our Lord will take great care of your children (and now they are adults) living in Mexico.  Probably won't be too many years before I see you again bud.

Dear Dad, it's been a couple of years since you left, I miss you and think about you every day, I wanted to tell you that I have a baby, he looks a lot like you, I'm sure you would have loved him and he would have loved you.

I met him not much time ago. The first time I shared a meal with him and his family I was afraid of him because I was dating her daughter and I told him "sorry if I don't speak pretty well English, I'm frightened" and he replied "don't worry, at least you try to speak English, I'd love to speak Spanish as well as you do, and I'm afraid too. It's the first time I meet my daughters boyfriend". 
Those simple words tender my heart and he made me know he was such a lovely and kind man, and even if I were part of his family, I felt like I was.
We all going to miss you. 

Paul and I met in Mazatlan Sinaloa Mexico, we were married for 23 years and we shared many memories, he was the father of my two daughters Perla and Esmeralda, , I remember with much affectn  our coexistence on Mazatlan and our family reunions. He was a kind man, loving, understanding, funny and very spiritual, he loved to go out with us to talk about Canada and about his sisters and good friends from Canada. We met several of his friends and he met my maternal family. The news were very sad for us, we found out late, we will remember him with love and we will carry him in our hearts, me jovita, his two daughters and my entire family from Mazatlan.

 Funny and understanding, he always sent us letters and details, he told us what Canada was like when he came to visit Mazatlan to see me and my sister, we spent the best moments talking and eating at his favorite restaurant, we will always remember him with love.

Paul and I have been dear friends since I first met him some 54 years ago.  We had many wonderful and fun loving times together in Hamilton when we were in our late teens and early twenties.  Paul was always pretty laid back and took what life had to offer.  I know he loves his two daughters immensely and always talked about them in our phone and email conversations.  I'm so glad that I  had the opportunity to visit and have lunch with Paul and another great mutual friend of ours Bryan about 3 years ago when I was in Hamilton as that was the last time I would see him.  Paul was always interested in spiritual things and of course Bryan and I had the opportunity to discuss our relationship with our Lord Jesus.  Hoping and praying that Paul is now with Him.  Will miss Paul.  

Living in Winnipeg, my Friend Al and I drove to Hamilton.  I met Paul and family. Paul welcomed us with open hearts to accommodate me, while visiting.

We became friends that lasted more than 50 years. Paul will be greatly missed.

I've known Paul over 50 years and enjoyed his friendship deeply.  We enjoyed many crazy times as youth and many thoughtful conversations as we both aged. I'll fondly remember our walks and lunches together. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Thanks for the wonderful friendship  - Your friend  "B"! 

I met Paul through a telephone call (wellness checks) with CityHousing Hamilton when we shut down last March with the pandemic. CityHousing Staff really care about our vulnerable tenants. Paul and I continued to talk up unit his recent hospital stay at the General where I went to visit him. I knew he was not well and this may be the last time we talk. I am grateful for the many conversations. Paul wouldn't hesitate to ask me how I was doing, when the focus was on his well-being. My heart is heavy but I know he is in a better place. Rest in Peace my dear friend.
