

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, in her 86th year, on January 10, 2013. Loving wife of Mykola (Nick) for 64 years and cherished mama of Mike and Agi, Roman and Cathy and her husband Stephen Lechniak. Baba will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Matthew, Candace, Nicholas, Andrew, Stephanie, Michael and her great-grandchildren Harmony and Sage. Born in Kosiw, Ukraine, Paulina is predeceased by her parents Kateryna and Mychajlo Mamczuk, her sister Mariyka and is survived by her brother Mychajlo. Paulina touched so many lives with her caring nature during her career as a nurse with the Canadian Red Cross Society. Paulina’s good times were spent travelling, fishing and listening to her collection of Ukrainian cassettes. A special thank you to all the staff of Juravinski Hospital and St. Peter’s Hospital 3 West. Visitation at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King St. E. (at Kenilworth Ave.), Hamilton Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Panachyda Monday evening at 8 p.m. Funeral mass at Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church, 15 St. Olga Street at Barton St. E. on Tuesday January 15, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment at St. Volodymyr Cemetery, 1280 Dundas St. W., Oakville.
