Pietra (Patricia) (née Avarello) Collura

Loving wife of the late Carmelo (2023) for 67 years. Cherished mother of Grace (Frank, predeceased), Maryann (John) and Sandra. Nonna will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Marie, Vanessa (Adam), Miranda (Steven), Daniela (Mauricio, Agatha), Joseph (Vanessa), Adrian, Marcus (Alexa) and Fabian and great-grandchildren Max, Eva, Ashton, Aria, Autumn and Franco.

She is the loving sister of Sam (Joanne), Anna (the late Domenico) and the late Pietro. She is the dear sister-in-law of Joe, Maria, Domenica and Margaret and predeceased by Charlie, Vincenza, Pietro, Calogera, Salvatore, Luigi, Theresa and Alfonso. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins in Sicily and Canada.

Our Mom and Nonna was a beautiful person. Her family meant so much to her. She took care of her family through her love of cooking and baking. Some of her specialties were her famous Italian meatballs, homemade tomato sauce, homemade cavati and of course her delicious pizza and bread. She also enjoyed keeping a beautiful garden and growing her fresh vegetables. She always made sure her family was happy and well taken care of. She had a heart of pure gold and was always kind and generous to everyone she met. She lived her life with a beautiful smile, and we will live on with all of the wonderful memories.

Visitation will take place at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, 305 East 37th Street, on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice.
