Concerning Remus Prunskus

A special thank you to Dominion Foundries and Steel (Dofasco) where Remus worked as a young man before his battles with MS began. This great company with an even greater heart kept Remus on a payroll for many years. At age 65, Remus benefitted from Dofasco’s Profit Sharing program. His medical problems mounted in his declining years but thanks to Dofasco he was able to pay his way.

A very, very special thank you to his niece Rima Raab (Remus’ namesake), Mike Raab, and the entire Raab family. Remus lived with this wonderful caring family for 2 ½ years. Their home was equipped with many features to help the handicapped and those modifications went a long way to ease Remus’ many physical difficulties. Thanks Rima. Thanks Mike. Thanks Max. Thanks Aida. Thanks Heidi.

The remaining years of Remus’ life were at Wellington Terrace in Fergus, Ontario. Thank you to the entire team for the help you gave him. Thank you for your genuine caring, your bright smiles as you greeted visitors and your high degree of professionalism in every way. This first rate extended care facility greatly eased our troubled minds knowing that Remus was getting the very best. Deepest thanks.

Finally, thank you to Eleanor Prunskus and Anthony Prunskus who gave their last bit of strength in their own aging decline to keep their beloved son with them as long as possible.
