Rick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years Patricia (nee Zelinsky); children Sean (Linda), Paula (Jason), David (Lucy), and Lindsay (Doug); grandchildren Noah, Chelsea, Jada, David Jr., Jessica, Nicholas, and Austin; siblings David (Mary) and Bob (Carol); mother-in-law Janet Zelinsky, brother-in-law Chris Zelinsky (Sandy), and sister-in-law Dana Douglas.
Rick is predeceased by his parents Robert and Elsie, his brother Jim (Pat), and his father-in-law Nicholas Zelinsky.
He was a proud employee of Dofasco for 33 years.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, September 4 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Autism Ontario or St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated by the family.
