Rima was born in Yerevan, Armenia on July 25, 1939. She married her husband, the late Hovhanes Kizilian, in 1959. They became the proud parents of four daughters. In June of 1980, the family immigrated to Hamilton, Ontario where they built a new life. Rima worked as a seamstress from 1980 to 1987 sewing children’s clothing, a skill that she had learned from a young age in Armenia.
Rima enjoyed cooking and baking but most importantly loving and taking care of her family. She was tenacious, tough, resilient, brave, caring and she was always happiest when her whole family was together. She wouldn’t rest until everyone was fed and satisfied and taught us all what it meant to survive and love.
Rima is survived by her four daughters, Agavni (Sarkis), Sousanna, Hikouhi (Paul) and Narine (Eric) and seven grandchildren, Michael, Christine, Alexander, Haroutoun, Katie, Emma and Nicholas.
Mom, Dadik, you are loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
