Uncle Bob Anderson, my Aunt Dorie (my Dad's sister's) life mate.   Both were always busy at something.  Passionate about their work and responsibilities towards their family and friends.  Lived just along and around from Granny & Grampa Hawkins' farm in Glanford.  I recall when their "new house" was being built throughout the 50s it seems.  When are you moving in?  Fall...next spring...soon...before winter hits.   Their home was always open for special family events like showers and birthday parties.  Nothing but fond memories of your parents Joan, Bonnie, Larry and Gordie.  Love cousin Janice (parents, Bob and Shirley Hawkins).   

My deepest and most sincerest condolences to the entire Anderson family. Bob was a most incredible person, someone with a memory that most would say was an eidetic memory. Also, Bob was an incredibly intelligent human being that worked with logic, intelligence  and extreme common sense. I will miss his life stories that he shared with us on our trips to Obonga Lake ,as well as the history of what it use to be like all along the route to the camp. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to experience the far north at Obonga lake, all because of Bob. His life will never be forgotten, as well as the stories that he told us. Spring fishing will never be the same.

Bob Anderson is a bit of a legend in our house. My husband, Ken, loved to hunt, fish and talk shop with Bob. When I first met my husband he sent me to Homestead automotive to get my car fixed. He didn't tell me he knew the people personally. Lol Gord and others were talking to me like they knew Ken and I didnt know how to answer the questions as I didnt know he knew them. Haha next thing I know, Gord was sharing amazing memories/photos of my husband,  his late father and Bob up at the legendary cottage I hear about in Obonga.  :) I also always loved to sit with Bob while I waited for my car as he would listen carefully to you speak and suddenly zing out some really funny one liners.  Such a special person with many, many great memories. You will be missed Bob!!!but definitely not forgotten ❤

We are so sorry for the loss of the great icon we enjoyed sharing time with for so many years at Obonga Lake. Bob was a generous family friend, a wonderful story teller, an engineer of so many inventions, a fixer of all things broken, an avid fisherman and general keeper of the lake. He will be greatly missed but his presence will always be felt in the spirit of Obonga.

Bob Anderson,
I was so very sorry and saddened when learning of Bob's passing.  He was always the most pleasant and interesting man to spend time talking to.  He had so many stories to tell and always was interested in how I was doing - he was so caring.  

My sympathies are with all his family - he will be sorely missed.  He and Dorrie are together again.

Bob was an amazing man, along with his wife Dorrie. 
He was always ready to tackle any job, and help people.  I remember his tiling days, he came to our farm and dug the trench for the tile.  He stayed for lunch and amused Warren and I with his many stories, all interesting, and a learning experience for us.
