MOSELEY, Robert (Bob), born in Hamilton on March 8, 1943, passed away peacefully at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice on November 28, 2024, after a short courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loved ones. He was in his 82nd year.
Bob was an adoring husband to his wife, Carol, for more than 50 years, and a loving father to three daughters: Kelly (her husband Lenny), Shannon (her husband Mike), and Leanne. Poppee was especially proud of his four beautiful grandchildren: Brandon (his partner Jamie), Megan (her partner Justin), Sofia, and Ivan. He will be sadly missed by his sister-in-law Gayle, nieces, nephews, Terri, and the entire Richmond family. Poppee, make sure you and Denny don’t get into too much trouble up there – we don’t want to hear about any more golf carts in the pond.
Bob worked as an electrician at Stelco for 42 years until his retirement in 2003. In his retirement, he enjoyed vacationing with family and friends, playing cards, fishing, reading every James Patterson book, and watching the birds in the garden. Bob was an avid sports fan and rooted for the Montreal Canadiens, New York Yankees, and the Cleveland Browns.
Special thank you to his incredible Home Care staff; especially Moses, Johnson, and Dong and to all the incredible staff at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice in his memory would be welcome.
Mimi says not to fuss about what to wear for the funeral. Please wear Poppee’s favourite colour red or your favourite sports jersey.
Goodbyes are not forever,
goodbyes are not the end,
they simply mean I’ll miss you
until we meet again.
And as Bob would say, “Whooze yer Daddy?”
