Robert Norman Russell

Peacefully with family by his side at the Hamilton General Hospital on Thursday April 28, 2011 in his 79th year. Predeceased by his mother and father, Jess and Perc, his sister's Joan Rees and Barbara (Robert) Lloyd. Sadly missed by his wife of 47 years, Judith Ann and his son Daniel. Cherished by his granddaughter, Julianna (Poppa's Angel). Dearly loved by sister Claudia (Barry) Luxon. Loving brother-in-law of Marsha (Jim) Walker and Vicki (John) Alteneau. Caring uncle of Michael (Teresa) Lloyd, Nancy (Dave) Williams, Lisa (Brian) Clarke, Lori (Garry) Monaghan, Laryssa (Scott) Marshall, Suzanne (Patrick) Daly and all of their cherished children. Dearest friend of Marg and Barry Rae of Kamloops. Bob proudly served in the Royal Canadian Navy. His friends and community will remember his generosity and fortune cookies he passed out.

His family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. for a memorial gathering on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes or to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
