Roberto Fortino

It is with great sadness that Roberto's family announces his passing peacefully at home on November 22, 2013 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Marianna (nee Annicchiarico). Loving father of Michael (Julia) and Renato. Cherished nonno of Cassandra, Alicia, Robert and Sabrina. Predeceased by his parents Michele and Maria Fortino and in-laws Tommaso and Giuseppina Annicchiarico. Brother and brother-in-law of the late Marianna (Eugenio) Filice of Italy, Angela and the late Stan Spina, Alfredo and Lina Fortino, Eugenio and Lidia Fortino, Anna and the late Eugenio Fortino, Carmine and Liliana Fortino, Ida and the late Tommaso Annicchiarico. Roberto will be sadly missed by uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends in Canada, Italy and the USA. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday from 2-4pm and 6-9pm with Vigil Prayers at 2:30pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene's Roman Catholic Church (Parkdale and Queenston) on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 10am. Entombment Holy Souls Mausoleum, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
